There are another three months to go before the August 25 release of MUNNABHAI-2ND INNINGS, Rajkumar Hirani's sequel to the hilarious MUNNBHAI MBBS, but the film has become a hot acquisition in the trade among its distributors, with the kind of reports it is carrying.
According to Nizam distributor, Ravi Machchar, who recently acquired the film and happened to see rushes of the film, the film is a laugh riot, this time a bigger one and has got one of the best chemistries of the Sanjay-Arshad duo. "It is entertaining to the core and rich in its production values. Also, the new addition in Vidya Balan is definitely a welcome change," he reveals.
Meanwhile, the producers are also said to be getting queries from enterprising south producers, who have evinced a keen interest in the remaking rights of the sequel. It may be recalled that the Telugu remaking rights of the original version were reportedly sold for a whopping Rs 1.7 crores, after which the Telugu remake SHANKAR DADA, proved to be a big hit at the box-office.
